Wrongful Death…Confused?

The term itself seems incongruous.  What exactly IS wrongful death?  Legally it is defined as the taking of an individual life resulting in willful neglect of some other person or persons.  That is a tough one to prosecute.  In its embryonic stages statutes were created to provide financial support for widows and orphans and to motivate people to exercise care to prevent injuries.

Understand that an action for wrongful death may be brought for either an intentional or unintentional act that causes an injury that results in death.  Also, the surviving beneficiaries may sue any person who caused the injuries that precipitated in the death.  It is a broad area of the law and often very difficult to prove.

If you feel that a key member of your family has been a victim of wrongful death in the Great Southwest, you need to hire a law firm with deep pockets and decades of experience.  Why not call the Albuquerque NM office of Ken Wagner?  He was on the legal team that won the famous McDonalds Hot Coffee Case.  Discuss your potential case by calling (505) 242-6300.

On the Road Again.

Summertime is usually vacation time for you and your family.  Please keep it safe out there.  The roads of The Great Southwest contain many twists and turns, and weather may be a factor when you vacation in the family car.  Staying safe and being prepared is as high of a priority as enjoying the trip itself.

Here are some tips on how to pack for a long road trip –

1.  Get a phone holder for telephone conversations.
2.  Have a battery recharger at the ready
3.  Keep water handy and stay hydrated.
4.  Have some mosquito repellent if and when you need it.
5.  And, one thing that has never changed, have a fully stocked first aid kit.

Above all else, keep it safe as you travel the highways of Albuquerque and The Great Southwest.  If, by any chance, you and your family are involved in a traffic mishap please remember the Law Office of Ken Wagner.  Ken, and his team will be there for you if you are involved in a car accident that causes personal injury.  Our phone number is (505) 242-6300.
